Vapordle is playable without an account. The site does not ask for Steam login credentials, does not connect to private Steam profiles, and does not collect a player's Steam library.

Local storage

Vapordle stores game progress, preferences, theme, pool choice, mature-content setting, and local stats in the browser's local storage. This information stays on the user's device unless the user chooses anonymous stat contribution.

Anonymous stats

If anonymous contribution is enabled, Vapordle may send completed mode, win/loss, score, guess count, hint count, run type, and pool type. It does not send individual guesses or hidden answer titles as part of those stats.

Analytics and advertising

Vapordle uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand broad traffic and performance trends. If Google AdSense is approved and enabled, Google may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads according to Google's policies and user consent requirements.

Third-party links

Vapordle links to Steam store pages after games are revealed or guessed. Steam pages are operated by Valve, and their own privacy terms apply there.
